Treasure Hunt

I've always believed that treasures are for those who know how to look for them. Why would they call it treasure HUNT in the first place?.

I've finally stopped killing time in my room and started to look and re-discover the treasures around me. I can't believe what I was missing.

I spent the my whole rest day roaming around the UP campus, running an important errand for my cousin. Looking at the serene landscape and breathing the precious fresh air, I realized that whatever happens I can always find a sanctuary in my good, old alma mater. It is here that life seems so simpler, the pressures of the 'outside ' world seem forgotten. It is Lothlorien all over again.

Treasures abound that day, but I found the most precious one in the annual recital of the College of Music. It was my first time to attend such an event and it did not disappoint, given that I am not really a 'music enthusiast'. The students renditions of classical Filino music is fantastic and for a shilling of an entrance fee, one can be treated to a refreshing musical experience.

Treasures really are for those who know how to find them. I am glad I made the effort to scratch beneath the surface and found one that day.

NOTE: The musical recitals are scheduled every Thursday, it started last September 2 and runs until the first week of October
