Kraft Honey

I did not need to check my watch to know it was 3AM in the morning. I recently developed (forced, really) a habit of waking up in the wee hours of the morning, especially during the witching hour. It's creepy waking up suddenly and KNOWING that it is (almost) always minutes before or after 3 in the morning. I'm not worried though, since I have not smelled anything burning (see The Exorcism of Emily Rose) yet (cross my fingers). It's usually bad when you're having a very bad dream and suddenly waking up at the time when the fabric between the real and the supernatural world is supposedly at it's thinnest. I almost expect the monsters in my dreams to greet me when I open my eyes in the darkest hour of the morning. Waking up to a nightmare, go figure.

But it was a pleasant dream that I woke up to. It was all so familiar- the feel, the color, the smell (I think). I have had similar dreams like this, a familiar stranger haunting my dreams with the promise of happiness in a soft bed and fluffy pillows. You tell me everything's going to be alright now, and I agree. We hold hands and tell each other our troubles, knowing that by doing so we are sharing and easing each other burdens. Our hearts beat faster, knowing that the bond we share is but a eye-blink away. If it the past, the present of the future we see when we dream, I cannot tell. I am just glad that the universe has set for us a place to meet and talk like we know each other that much. We never say good-bye in my dreams, I just wake up and know that it is the witching hour again.
