Naruto Potter

The first time I came across Naruto, I decided then that it was just another manga with a so-so art work about ninja clans so I decided to discard the whole Zip file to save disk space. I have always looked for something fresh in comics, something out of the ordinary (hehe! Ghost in the Shell uncensored I can still cannot locate. You get the idea, wink! wink!). Anyway, as one saying in Naruto goes - "the lotus blooms twice". I again got hold on Naruto files, this time it was an online groups posting the complete Naruto manga series on the net. It started out as something to do with my free time during office hours. The manga was so good (story-wise and good artwork, I apologize Mr. Kishimoto Masashi) that it became something to look forward to everyday. I cannot really pinpoint what the Naruto appeal is but I guess it would have to be the fast-paced story telling, the characters that one can relate to and most importantly, Naruto lets you into the emotions of each character. In short, manga can let you laugh and be sad in a pinch. It can get you excited on one page and feel sorry for one character the next. If there was one manga that has the potential to be a tear-jerker, this could be it.

Reading the manga also reminds of another story which runs parallel to Naruto's story - Harry Potter. Both started as youngsters learning something that they are not good at (Naruto because he's a prankster and Harry because he was used to being "normal"). Both have huge potentials and are somewhat related to something that happened in their past (spoiler alert! Bleep! Bleep! while Lord Voldemort left Harry a lightning-shaped scar). Like in the Harry Potter books, it was fun reading as Naruto grows and try living with his new found friends. Ah, the joys of growing up! Hehe!

So far my favorite characters are - Hatake Kakashi, Hyuga Hinata and Rock Lee... of course there is Naruto and Jiraiya, hehe!

All this reading have piqued your curiosity eh? Well then, read on by visiting the link at - http://groups.msn.com/NarutoMangaReturns/
